How do I get there?

The beauty of Puerto Armuelles is that is is quiet and remote. We recommend that you fly into Panama City (PTY) and then to David (DAV). This is a forty-five minute flight. From David, it is an approximately ninety minute taxi or bus ride. We do have a bus that will pick up your groupie David  and return your group to the airport for $50.00 per person for the round trip.

Recommended airlines: American, United, Copa, Spirit, Delta

When flying out of Charlotte NC (CLT), travel to either Miami (MIA) or Ft. Lauderdale (FLL). Depart to Panama City's Tocumen Airport and fly to David (45 minutes).

A taxi from the airport to Puerto Armuelles is approximately $50.00 or ride the city bus (approximately $5.00). 

​

The  bus will drop you off at the waterfront in the town of Puerto Armuelles. A taxi from there to the resort is about $5.00.

Panama Airport TSA

We recommend following Panama City TSA guidelines. Refrain from packing sharp objects such as tweezers, nail files, nail clippers, etc in your carry-on luggage.

Asana Panama will provide shampoos and lotion for your use if you prefer to travel without those items..

 

Do I need to bring a converter for my electronic devices?

No. Outlets are identical to U.S. outlets.

Internet and cell phone connection?

The resort is equipped with wireless internet. Please check with your cell phone provider.

What is the weather like?

Tropical, tropical and more tropical! Weather here is in the 80's every day, but with a refreshing ocean breeze.

Pack shoes for the water as there are areas that have some stones. The sand is a dark volcanic sand.

​

Are there grocery stores, banks and drug stores?

Yes, the town is very close and you can ride a bike or take a $2 taxi ride.

What if I get sick or injured while in Panama?

Check your personal insurance coverage or purchase a travel policy for your trip.

There is a hospital in Puerto Armuelles if you might need one.
